More travels...

Written May 2nd

Back on a plane again on my way home to LA from Nashville. The Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) and Autism meeting was a great success. The meeting was lead by Pat Levitt, who brought together several leading scientists in the field of ANS, we spent two days figuring out how to get this completely untapped area studied in people with autism.

Miriam and Gabe are on a plane right now too, on their way to Seattle for their cousin's Bat Mitzvah. Jon is on a plane too, from Boston to Seattle, to meet them. Today was the last day of shooting on his movie: 'Ghosts of Girlfriends Past'; he has been away for four months and it's been hard especially with all my own travel.

Tonight when I get home I'll peek in on Dov who will be fast asleep, I'll make sure his blanket is tucked in at the end of his bed so his feet don't stick out - his legs are getting so long, he's almost as tall as me now and tomorrow morning we will sit on the couch and talk (type) and listen to music and maybe go for a walk. I really miss the kids when I am away but especially Dov. We use Skype now - a really cool web-based video-phone service. If you have a webcam you can talk to each other for free. (just go to www.skype.com to join up). We feel a lot more in touch when we do this almost every day. Last night the kids were in the library along with my sister Sarah,(who makes all this travel possible), and our new dog Sophie. Dov likes the dog and the dog likes to stay close to Dov when he is eating.

Lots more to catch up on, -Portia
